”We ease the recruitment problem by replacing people with machines.” Ye Zihong, manager of the company’s business management department, told reporters that since 2012, the company has focused on equipment updates and hired professional and technical personnel with high salaries to independently develop new equipment. Under the leadership of Ye Zihong, the reporter came to the parts workshop. “This is the CNC lathe, the production of screw, pressure block, fixed rod and other product accessories.” According to Ye Zihong, CNC lathes mainly produce screws. After the transformation, although the daily output of a machine is only more than 1500 screws, which is much less than the previous manual daily output of 2200, but with these equipment, a worker can operate 4 machines at the same time, and its comprehensive daily output is more than 2.7 times that of the manual.
Zhou Duohong is a CNC lathe operator, 52 years old, she has been working in the company for more than four years. “I used to spend the whole day in front of the machine, and at the end of the day, my hands and feet were sore. Now, you just need to arrange the workpiece into the groove of the lathe, the machine will automatically complete according to the set requirements, and four machines a day can produce more than 7,000.” Speaking of the benefits of “machine replacement”, Zhou Duohong told reporters that now, she manages four machines, although the amount has gone up, the work is much easier than the original, and the salary has risen a lot, and was rated as an excellent employee by the company last year.
”Last year, the number of employees decreased by nearly 30 compared to 2012, and the efficiency of production in the company has increased rather than decreased, and the efficiency of several tasks has increased several times.” Ye Zihong said that in the future, the company will also follow the idea of “machine replacement” and further achieve the growth of enterprise benefits under the premise of reducing labor costs.
